Lessons Before Blogging

     By Mark Marino

For whatever it’s worth, there is a lot to say about what’s happening on the internet right now. Term’s like, WEB 2.0, and SOCIAL MEDIA have become collegiate level subjects with an entire system of constantly evolving sites and services attached.

In fact things are moving so fast, that inexperience is actually a positive thing. Understanding these changes are not just important to bloggers and content writers, but also about business in general. Yes owners of today can get away with not knowing what a “tweet,” or a “Wiki” is, but the days of being successful while ignoring the internet are quickly coming to a close.

5) Everyone Business Site Needs Content If you’re trying to figure out how writing in a blog translates to paycheck (or at least some numbers in your PAYPAL account besides zero,) it starts with the FACT that all business driven websites need content to stay competitive. If you no nothing else about blogging, or the subject matter that you’re blogging about, you can still make a good pitch by getting a potential paying webmaster to understand that without content other sites with content will get more attention.

4) SEO Means Relevance.
Do you know how to make your website or web based business as effective as possible? Experts will tell you it needs to get Search Engine Optimized which is a complicated way of saying that websites need a variety of tweaks to create relevance. These adjustments start with the written words on a website but they also venture to include many aspects of coding and website design. From the writers’ standpoint, you need to worry about KEYWORDS and also having a keen ability to actually write within a given topic.

3) The Key to Writing is Reading.
If you’ve run out of subjects to write about, or if you have a subject already that you’re drawing blanks on, than it could be time just to hit the library and suck up a few new articles. I would actually recommend getting as far away from distractions on the internet as possible and then returning with a fresh mindset. Many books and published material is being churned out to deal with the speed of the Web 2.0 evolution are available for free and deserve to be appreciated for real expert insight.

2) Put it in Writing.
For everyone you work for, even if the work is unpaid or you’re performing intern work you should open up an excel file and record the hours you’ve worked. Having a record of the assignments you’ve completed with corresponding dates can only help. Professional freelancers don’t play around with the work they’ve completed. Full time contracted writers have only one source of income and every minute has value, so every wasted minute can get expensive. Speaking of contracts, whenever possible, get your webmaster to sign off on your assignments. Established writers can get away with this part a little easier, but contracts are great because they assure the original pay and given assignments are fulfilled, no more and no less.

1)
Have Patience with Webmasters
Webmasters are often finicky people, they always have the bottom line in mind and getting them there with your content alone isn’t always going to pan out. Some businesses think they know more than they do, some know more than they need to, and others expect you to know everything they don’t. The key is to be patient, always listen, don’t burn bridges and if you do decide it’s time to move on. They key to everything happening on the internet is about engagement, because there is value in getting people engaged into a particular URL. There is an entirely new demand for strangers to collaborate online and building a strong reputation as a writer can very easily lead to more work. The opposite is also true however one bad experience could mean that businesses are talking about you negatively. In that case the positive aspects of social networking can work against you. A little patience can be the difference between losing a job and getting paid much longer.

*Remember to be an expert on the writing end of it, and you’ll never have to take full responsibility for the well being of the actual website or service, that is simply not your problem, but it wouldn’t hurt to show a little concern for the sake of being a team player.
Talking to webmasters directly is also an educational experience no matter what the outcome. Good Luck!

Technical Writing Trends in 2010 has become a Great Niche According to Yahoo

This little piece of writing further illustrates the need for new types of writers. Below is an excerpt from an article recently posted on yahoo.com. The title of the article is:

"High-Paying, Low-Stress Jobs" - 5 ways to earn big bucks without major stress."

5. Technical writer
In this high-tech age, new groundbreaking tools, mobile devices, and innovative gadgets are released on practically a daily basis. Obviously, someone has to write about these ingenious doodads and complicated thingamabobs. That's where technical writers come into play.

Although they sometimes face tight deadlines, technical writers typically enjoy flexible hours and a comfortable, quiet workspace. Quite a few of them have an enviable 10-second commute--from their bedrooms to their desks. Because all they need is a phone and a computer with an Internet connection, many technical writers work from home.

What's more, technical writers are in extremely high demand. As technical companies continue to release pioneering new products, someone has to transform their complex technical-ese into everyday language the average customer can comprehend. Technical writers generally earn between $47,000 and $98,000 a year.
"

- Source YAHOO.COM,
by Amy Bell, Investopedia.com

This is great  news for writers. I've posted other articles from yahoo about the resurgence of journalism on the internet, technical writing is now more popular than ever. There are many successful "gadget" based blogs and most of them are advertised directly to net savvy individuals.

Isn't it interesting that the same people using the latest gadgets first are blogging and then getting paid for it? The occupation of Technical Writer has breached top five jobs because of it's complete lack of stress combined with potential for high pay.

As for niche writing, this is a perfect example of how knowing one specific topic well enough automatically has value. In the past you would have to get hired to write about something very specific such as an ipad or an HD Camcorder. Today, people don't bother fishing through physical pages for much, they get their answers not from the paid experts, but from reliable word of mouth posted in relevant forums like blogs, community bulletin boards, social networking sites, etc.

People are free to judge for themselves which reviews are credible on the internet. In the field of
gadgets and technical writing, it's very difficult to plagiarize or fake knowing more than you do. Readers who own or have examined the products will likely know it better than you unless you extremely educated on your niche. This is what real journalists call a "beat," which is really just an old fashioned way of referring to your area of expertise, good journalists have multiple fields they can be consulted on.

Technical Writing also means having some cash to spend on gadgets, or at least a few friends who work at Radio Shack. Accessibility to resources is a major factor in blogging. For those who wish to explore areas of writing that are new, I would first suggest that you look in your own backyard for something that you might already be an expert on. If you have a craft, trade, job, or a passion that you consider yourself an expert on, then you might already have all the niche writing you need. To actually get paid you simply need to connect with the forums that NEED relevant writing whether it's technical writing or otherwise. Either way, getting paid to write quickly and productively is the ultimate goal for freelancers and bloggers of all levels. This article is positive sign that even more opportunity is on the horizon with new and valuable technical writing niches that are still undiscovered.

Spider Simulator

Still Not sure what a "spider" is? The term web crawler is synonymous with spider here referring to the "bots" that are constantly walking the internet and indexing new sites.

Spiders are the Key to getting traffic to your site, because if a spider doesn't recognize your SEO efforts, or your site isn't being recognized at all, then you simply won't get indexed. Web designers traditionally have looked to making their web sites as user-friendly as possibly. Although this is a positive for the user, usability isn't the owners primary concern when trying to run any type of web-based-business.

The most important thing to think about before writing content, or coding one for a website, is that...

Written text alone is what generates a spiders interest, and that's it! Keywords should be picked and placed in as many relevant places as possible for easy recognition by all spiders, especially Google.

If you'd like to test how your site is currently performing with the big search engines, a SPIDER SIMULATOR can show where improvements can be made, or give light to some more qualified keywords.

Why Are Blogs Useful in the Web 2.0 Era?

What most people are just beginning to understand, is that the internet is morphing into something brand new to all of us in new ways. What people have come to term Web 2.0 is referencing a very simple idea on a massive and complex scale.

What most people don't understand about the task of Google, is that they have taken control of organizing the internet, and because everything is on the internet, that means everything has to be organized. That needs to be said in different way to emphasize how much everything actually is. Look around the room, every object in view has been categorized by Google, and clustered to hundreds of thousands of websites deemed relevant  in specific order.

Without understanding anything about Search Engine Optimization, you can basically summarize the entire task by saying optimization means making your website more relevant.

Key Factors in Googles' algorithm for site indexing include:

- Keyword Density - How many times do Specific Keywords Appear within text?
- Keyword Placement - Where specifically do keywords appear on a given website?
- Freshly Written - Is your content recent? Updated? Well written? About Keyword related subjects?
Web 2.0 - Is your site user friendly? Simple navigation, feeds, email, networking, comments, quick-links?
- Site Map - Easy Breakdown of site URL's for smooth indexing. (This is coding not writing.)
- Backlinking - How many relevant websites are linked to you. How many of them are one way links?
- Anchor Text - Use of keywords in hyperlinks often without keyword stuffing or becoming a link-farms.

There are many other factors and nuances of factors that Search Engine Crawlers consider before indexing. Conversely the competitive webmasters in the 2.0 era  are building sites based each of these factors.

That also means that there is a sudden boom and need for
Fresh Relevant Content about keyword specific topics. The value in real writing has come full circle from print to the internet and suddenly journalism has evolved into something much faster, more accessible, and easier to syndicate.
Content writers, freelance or otherwise, now have a new value in saving the webmasters valuable time. Most coders, ironically, are not great writers, let alone great copy-writers. The value for the writer in the 2.0 era is sudden profitability in short steady bursts. The great news is you can become an expert on anything and get paid for it with basic writing ability.

The biggest factor to consider is that web crawlers look for text and text only. Fancy dynamic sites with Java, Flash, images, and media are very user friendly, but as far as relevance to Google, only what's written will  determine your website's relevance. That's why all images  and videos should be accompanied by subtitles and captions with targeted keywords.

In summation, blogs are useful in this sense as well. Although blogs are really considered dynamic sites, they offer many of the other satisfying elements of a good website. WordPress, and Blogger aim to be the most easy to grasp and beneficial blog hosting sites. They take the mindset that blogging software whether self hosted or on-line can act like a content management system for a website. Blogs offer everything a great website can offer at it's base. They are user friendly, easy to index and link to, and blogs can build a following of networked subscribers over time.

Even if blogging seems like a waste of time, marketing past the year 2010 will live and die on the internet. Marketing plans will have more often have to start with a website and everything else will follow in stride.
If you can get your website indexed in the top 2 pages of Google for your business keywords, you stand to increase your business over 500%. That's because Google web searches account for roughly 80% of all the searches on the internet. Yahoo, Bing, and the rest of the like compete for what's left, the general rule is aim to make Google happy, and the rest will catch up.

The task of organizing everything has taken some time, but there is definite opportunity for copy writers, bloggers, webmasters, and entrepreneurs to help blaze along the business new frontier of "searchability". Those brave pioneers might even find themselves getting paid.

Ipod Revolution or IPhone Addiction, Being Wise About Smart Phones

As if the evidence wasn't right around you out in public or at work. People are getting lost in their smart phones because they are no longer just phones, they are truly small computers with a wealth of practical capabilities. Perhaps we take it for granted that each day we have satellite access to world communications in our pocket with customized preferences and stark reliability. People should expect so much in a significant other, but according to recent studies and commentary, our significant other is really our smartphone

An article just published in the NY Times and various other sources reflects a recent survey conducted at Stanford University on iphone addiction statistics: The study is also posted on NowPublic.ComThis is a great and recent summary of these 200 ivy league guinea pigs. 34 % of them scaled themselves at a 4/5 level of addiction (meaning just about total addiction) to their iphones. The other resounding statistic is that of those who said they were not addicted, 89% of those people use their iphones as an alarm clock, and 85% as a watch. They were not addicted other than the fact that they depended on them to tell time, wake up, and remind themselves of important events daily.

This where the definition of addiction gets controversial,  just because we use something everyday, doesn't mean we are addicted to it, the levels of psychological studies that delve into "addiction" are infinite, but in this case the main barometer are the user's themselves.
It is more than just a sign of the times to see so many people engaged in their own jungle of applications, email, wireless net, texting, ... all the time.

Just like checking the time, or using an alarm clock, why is any less or more of a sin to use that same phone for other uses? Do all these uses together constitute an addiction? Or is it just that people spend too much time on their phone doing nothing? After all, did you really have get on FaceBook for an hour while commuting, should you have been reading a book instead?

What if the argument is that it's an iphone, and it's already a book. In fact podcasting audio books is probably the newest and hardest hitting wave of sellable writing on the horizon. Are people really addicted to listening to music and audio books too? Maybe like other technological trends in the past, we need to consider not how much we use something, but what we do when we use it.

It's safe to say there is way too much mundane texting, posting, blogging and just plain time wasted on vanity, everyone could always cut back on that stuff, but still that isn't the part that's creating iphone addictions.

Sample Article: How and When to Spot Long Shots

It is rare when it happens, but sometimes the horse that gets ruled out first is the one that cleans up the most triumphantly. Betting the long shot is not only the riskiest bet on the board, it is often the most ignored option.

There are some specific tips one should follow when betting any horse race and the long shot should only be bet when the circumstances are right. Insiders will tell you that odds don’t apply as much if one or two big favorites are really skewing the odds. The betting odds are the key in any long shot bet. From a pure investment perspective, the long shot is the most rewarding bet out of every race. The smart money rides on long shot horses that have had improving success in previous races. Long shot bettors also look for late additions and horses that seem ignored or misrepresented in the odds. It helps to have an eye for spotting overrated favorites as well.

Jockey’s and trainers another key factor that bettors will focus in on. Most bettors recognize that most races (especially the bigger ones) are one by a very tight pool of trainers and drivers. They also recognize that chasing the long shot against these big name horses is quick way to lose your bankroll, however it doesn’t mean that they won’t jump on a long shot for the same reasons. Like the case of last year’s winner Mine That Bird, Jockey Calvin Borel decided that he wanted to ride Mine That Bird because he thought she was the best horse in the race despite the odds. Those who know and believed in Calvin, jumped on this long shot because in hopes they could cash in Borel’s lucrative instinct. If they didn’t get on board the first time, you almost have to ask why any bettor wouldn’t follow Borel into the next leg of the triple crown when he took The Preakness Stakes aboard Rachel Alexandra?

The jockey factor can sway bettors toward both extremes, but remember that although trainers and drivers are extremely important, the fastest horse will still win. Things that can cripple a favorite are simple and plentiful. Even the best jockeys will report that they can’t always get the best performance out of their horse, even though they believed that same horse was the best contender. There is no guarantee that the “fastest” horse can be compelled to run their hardest.

Another great long shot wonder was Giacomo, who took his 50-1 odds across the finish line at his Kentucky Derby Victory in 2005. Will this year add another longshot winner to a decade already packed with the unexpected? The Run For The Roses is les than two weeks away!

Watch The Photo Finish and Longshot victory at the 2005 Kentucky Derby!

Slade Family Fundraiser - Press Release and Blog

From: Organizer April Hutchings

Slade Family Charity Fundraiser

Las Vegas, NV 89109

Press Release Version

April 20th, 2010

Las Vegas Community

Re: Slade Family Fundraiser

Dear Friends,

We are communicating with local businesses and community members that may be able to appreciate a misfortunate situation. This is a unique chance to do something heroic for a local Las Vegas family that has felt the real and permanent pain of cancer.

In January of this year, suddenly and unexpectedly 23 year old Patrick Slade was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer in his (left) leg. This type of cancer (
Tangelectic Osteosarcoma), typically strikes at a much younger age, but Patrick is the oldest on record to get this disease. As a result his doctors had to make some tough decisions to protect his life. Patrick had no choice but to give up the majority his leg, along with his ability to walk without help.

The good news is, his surgery is complete and the cancer has been removed, but Patrick still has an uphill battle. Even great insurance plans don’t cover the costs of hospitals, surgery or expensive cancer treatment. Affording a prosthetic leg piece is also a daunting expense in itself. Without some outside help it will be difficult to sustain such high costs with the normal expenses of affording a family.

Community Organizer
April Hutchings and several other friends of the Slade Family have decided to hold a fundraiser in Patrick’s name on 5/20/10 at Barley Pops, located at eastern and the 95. At this event, prizes will be raffled and business cards will be exchanged while live music and entertainment will churn good spirits. Anyone interested in joining the cause is welcome to attend.

We are also asking for and accepting donations for the Slade Family via cash or check. Any amount helps and every dollar will go directly toward the cause of getting Patrick the prosthetic aid he needs. Checks can be made payable to:
April Hutchings, for the “Slade Family Fundraiser.” We look forward to hearing back from you, thank you for listening.

Sincerely,
Slade Family Fundraiser

What The H$#% is this Blog About?

In my explorations of other people's blogs I have noticed one thing that is negative about many of them. Too many times the titles aren't revealing enough to what the blog subject is about. Some bloggers have no problem distributing all kinds of content, and their friends may turn it into a social outlet for inside jokes and a personal log for clique-y conversations, but if your blog has no central point to it than why is it necessary for ME to read?

I have to say in light of all this I don't want my blog to fall prey to same ambiguity. This blog is about NICHE WEB WRITING and on here you'll find samples of my work for various sites. It's true that by scanning this you'll find different ads and links so the site may look like marketing, but look again and you'll see those are simple examples my writing in different formats. Yes much of it sounds like a sales pitch, but that's only because that's the stuff that pays, and that's the stuff that pays quickly in todays SEO demanding WEB 2.0 world!

I encourage people to follow me here, but this blog is really a reference for niche writing and not any of the subjects you may find written about here. I will soon however link to some other blogs that I believe are entertaining and/or link-worthy.

Sample Horse Racing Article for upcoming Kentucky Derby

The Most Dangerous Trainer in Derby Contention

In a continuing effort to amplify the excitement of the 2010 Kentucky Derby here is a simple trivia question relevant to this year’s race:

Who was the last trainer to have his name on two or more consecutive derby winners? Give up?

The answer in case you didn’t have the last two decades of winners memorized, is Bob Baffert with Silver Charm in 1997, and Real Quiet in 1998. For the record both horses were jockeyed by different riders, and both horses all had independent owners. Why is this relevant in 2010? There are a few reasons people may want to pay attention to this. Firstly, Baffert is the only common link in these two victories; which means that his exclusive training was the foremost factor over a decade ago. With an additional Derby Win in 2002, the elite thoroughbred War Emblem cemented Baffert’s legacy as a dangerous derby contender every year. Not to mention Baffert is also the only trainer to win back to back at the Preakness as well!

It is also relevant in 2010 because Bob Baffert’s prize contender Lookin’ at Lucky is comfortable at an estimated 6:1 odds in the upcoming Kentucky Derby. It seems as though this year the superior training methods that have worked in the past have once again culminated into a leading contender for Bob Baffert Stables. Many people attribute this unique success to a few major things:

1) One major attribute to Bob’s success is what those around him describe as an extremely keen horse sense. His ability to eye up the shape and stature of a thoroughbred combined with the experience in knowing what it takes to further a colt into a champion contender.

2) Baffert combined his background in Horses with Bachelor’s Degree in Science to train quarter horses early in his career. His experience with these trimmed animals gave him a powerful sense of how to prepare his horse(s) especially for peak performance.

3) There are few owners who are as recognized as Baffert, his high profile has allowed him not only to enhance the sport, but to help recreate it. His training methods are cutting edge, and therefore emulated as closely as possible by many. But the real secret to the Baffert legacy is having an outstanding balance of nature vs. nurture. It isn’t surprising to see winning horses have not only great bloodlines, but the best and most timely training to go along with it.

*We’ll soon see if Lookin’ at Lucky will make Bob Baffert look even more successful in less than a month at the 2010 Kentucky Derby!

Writing is a Hot Career?!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this article on yahoo ranks the career of "Writing" at #3 for hot occupations! This agrees with the premise of this blog that writing in general has turned a page very recently, really more like a web page.

SEO, SEM, Blogging, Podcasting, and a variety of other niche content is exploding everywhere in different directions. For those lucky enough to have earned a bachelor's degree, or even an associates in the field of English or Journalism, they already have a leg up on their competitors. Competition may be fierce, but sheer skills will sort out who gets the better high paying jobs.

Realistically, it is possible to earn six figures simply handling the web content for one or several websites. However, this often means you'll need to know more than Search Engine Optimization, or how to write well. The skills you'll really need are of two main varieties.

1) Result Oriented - The best clients out there won't compromise. If they can't see results right away, then you'd better have someone else's results to show them instead. If you can't produce some evidence that you've improved a site's search ranking by tailoring a complete SEO campaign, then you will lose them to another SEO company or writer. The business pays in variety of ways, and juicy freelance jobs are few and far between to those who don't have some proven experience and software capability to show real results.

2) Technical - The SEO big boys make up to 500 dollars an hour because they have an entire fleet of technical skills to go along with their SEO knowledge. This means everything from custom blog templates, to website creation, to coding such as HTML, Flash, PHP, Java, and others. Having some knowledge of premium software comes along with all these skills as well. The more technical, or analytical knowledge you can demonstrate, the more unique and valuable you will become. Then it's just a matter of deciding which jobs you can handle and which of them are the most worth it.

Writing is a hot career right now because entrepreneurs are snatching up good writers and making them useful to their websites. Because websites are becoming the front feature of many businesses, writers are going along for the ride. Where print media has died off, the skill of writing even at amateur levels has new values and opportunities on the internet...

more to come...

LinkedIn.Com

Okay, admit it, your facebook isn't a networking tool. Just because you have your work history listed within your personal profile, doesn't mean you're networking for jobs or promoting your business.

Myspace, twitter, and facebook, are great for social networking, but I recommend LinkedIn.com; especially for anyone looking to network with other small businesses.
As time goes on, net savvy employers as well as private enterprises will link up on sites like this.

As far as SEO and real networking is concerned, it always helps to have a site that functions like a social networking site, but is really geared toward professionals and small businesses. It also helps to have an outlet to add hyperlinks and connect your website to the world, even if it's just a small blog.

Betting on the 2010 Kentucky Derby

So far, Lookin at Lucky is already looking like The 2010 Kentucky Derby Favorite, but that doesn’t make him the best horse to bet. Yes Bob Baffert’s two year old anomaly has many fans and bettors excited, but history has taught us all a different lesson about how to bet the Kentucky Derby. Most of the time, favorite horses that are hyped up with speed and invincible talent are the ones that let people down the most. In addition, favorite horses tend to have less than great paybacks on their high odds to win anyway.

So what does that all mean for this year? Well 2010 is no different than any other year in that any horse that makes it to post will surely be a contender. There are no duds in the Kentucky Derby, and that’s one of the reasons this race in particular drives a peak amount of bets across ticket windows both real and virtual. This year, consider some important factors and strategies before placing your bet on the 2010 Kentucky Derby.

1) Take a Chance - Last Year’s Derby Winner, Mine that bird was a 50-1 Longshot (According to Vegas odds.) Two bucks would have been a hundred dollar score. Why not pick one favorite and make a small bet with high odds. Remember it’s when you’re betting it has less to do with the horse that wins, and more to do with how one bets the race. If you think only about front runners, your income will always be limited. Don’t just pick any horse however. Try to pick a longshot that seems out of place, underrated or not as well known. Lesser known picks can fare just as well as the popular names. So do your homework.

2) Consider the Prep Races - The last group of serious Grade I Races in March and April can be great indicators to which horses have the potential to win big. Santa Anita, The Florida Derby, and The Blue Grass Stakes in particular tend to be significant races but derby winners have come from many other races also to finish first in the Kentucky Derby.

The Florida Derby was taken recently by 20-1 longshot by Jockey Jose Lezcano and his horse, Ice Box. Trailing respectively was also Pleasant Prince followed by the still very popular Rule down at Gulfstream. In this case, it is not important to stake your beliefs on a first place finisher. The grueling hunt to get into the derby doesn’t always indicate how a horse will compete come race day. In this case Rule just finished third, but he is still very much alive and gunning for Derby contention. Running with confidence and finishing in the top three is a great sign this late in the prep season.

Resume Worthy Links

Example Of Sales Style Press Release

Luxury Suites International Antes Up For World Series of Poker.

Here is a heavily sales oriented press release. Some PR Sites won't accept these if they are too "salesy," but advertising is part of the game and anything free to promote your business can't hurt. Also, sales with relevant content could lead to juicy links back to google. Niche Writing in this PR style has a better chance of survival if it's newsworthy and informative rather than pitchy.

Also, never use exclmation points in a Press Release, you'll see I broke that rule in the example above several times. *hint that particular web page is liberal on it's publishing standards, other sites are not so mistake friendly.

HTML Generators

For amateurs like myself who claim to be talented writers with almost no technical skills, there is a tool out there I must recommend. You see the modern world is getting away from print and posting everything real time on line. The prevalence of the internet age is undeniable, especially in the web 2.0 era.

Of all the languages you can spend a lifetime learning. HTML is perhaps the most important for it's universal understanding and it's simple structure. PHP, XHTML, FLASH, JAVA and many other coding tools play of the basic HTML to create a world of dynamic business-centralized websites.

That doesn't mean go out and learn HTML code all the way, but know a few good generators like:

Or how about a good solid tutorial with code break downs and no time wasted on pop ups!

A Word About Blogs, A Blog About Words

Blogging is a funny word that emerged during a decade full of strange new internet creations. What used to be titled a weblog started as a place to spew log type information, or to form a public diary of sorts on the internet.

At first glance there is no blog that stands out and pronounces itself as a giant success. But, if you happen to visit an extremely successfuly blog with hundereds of thousands of others all focused on the same string of questions and comments, you don't need much creativity to see the potential.

For and example of some very successful blogs visit:
www.technorati.com/blogs/top100

The collective value of thought that flows in that kind of traffic becomes very valuable in terms of searchability and usefulness to web users. Even the advertising that connect users to products is positive al around tool in such a communal environment.

The connections that create great search results are naturally hardwired into the dna of every blogger that keeps the beast getting longer and more linkworthy.

More to come on blogs in general, but for the purposes of niche writing they should definitely be recognized as valuable places for very specific information. More to come!

Introduction:

This blog, is public collection of relevant links and opinions on various cutting edge styles of niche writing.

For Example: SEO, Proffessional Blogging, Freelance Web Copy, Link Building, and overall Web Content Design.

It is the opinion of this author that we are sitting on the cusp of an on going culture shock where the internet becomes not just a brochure anymore, but the starting and finishing point for any serious business.

To stay competitive, and become accessible by simple keyword search on major search engines, it is important for every website to: update, add-on, modify, simplify and codify all the written content on their sites. Anyone who can understand this can now recognize the sudden value and need for subject specific content all over the internet.

This fact coupled with the slow but painful death of print media combines to change the entire scheme of freelance writing. This Blog is about that evolution as it happens. I hope everyone can find something useful. Other opinions and links welcome!
