A Word About Blogs, A Blog About Words

Blogging is a funny word that emerged during a decade full of strange new internet creations. What used to be titled a weblog started as a place to spew log type information, or to form a public diary of sorts on the internet.

At first glance there is no blog that stands out and pronounces itself as a giant success. But, if you happen to visit an extremely successfuly blog with hundereds of thousands of others all focused on the same string of questions and comments, you don't need much creativity to see the potential.

For and example of some very successful blogs visit:
www.technorati.com/blogs/top100

The collective value of thought that flows in that kind of traffic becomes very valuable in terms of searchability and usefulness to web users. Even the advertising that connect users to products is positive al around tool in such a communal environment.

The connections that create great search results are naturally hardwired into the dna of every blogger that keeps the beast getting longer and more linkworthy.

More to come on blogs in general, but for the purposes of niche writing they should definitely be recognized as valuable places for very specific information. More to come!

Introduction:

This blog, is public collection of relevant links and opinions on various cutting edge styles of niche writing.

For Example: SEO, Proffessional Blogging, Freelance Web Copy, Link Building, and overall Web Content Design.

It is the opinion of this author that we are sitting on the cusp of an on going culture shock where the internet becomes not just a brochure anymore, but the starting and finishing point for any serious business.

To stay competitive, and become accessible by simple keyword search on major search engines, it is important for every website to: update, add-on, modify, simplify and codify all the written content on their sites. Anyone who can understand this can now recognize the sudden value and need for subject specific content all over the internet.

This fact coupled with the slow but painful death of print media combines to change the entire scheme of freelance writing. This Blog is about that evolution as it happens. I hope everyone can find something useful. Other opinions and links welcome!
